In April 1990 W. D. Deli opened on McCullough Avenue in the Olmos Park area of San Antonio, Texas. Since that first day, our goal has been to provide our customers with delicious, fresh food in healthy portions at reasonable prices. We take a lot of pride in the fact that we have scores of regular customers who have been enjoying lunch at the deli consistently since we opened the doors. Come by and see us sometime soon. For as long as he can remember, Wayne Beers has had a passion for food and entertaining. A lot of the recipes that W. D. Deli uses today are based on the things that Wayne enjoyed as a child in New Jersey, and later in Tulsa. The tuna salad is his mom Marie's recipe, and the casear salad dressing is something that Wayne got from his dad, Russel Beers. The menu at W. D. Deli continues to evolve based on food and health trends, as well as things that we discover from research and from friends and family and travels.
Michael Bobo joined W. D. Deli full time in 2001. Michael likes to think of everyday as a party at W. D. Deli. "You never know who's going to show up and what kind of antics will ensue."
Gilbert Wynn joined the management team in 2018, and has been a valuable asset. His warm smile will welcome you, and his skills and knowledge will assure that your lunch and/or catering order will be the best that it can be.
